Fully qualified and experienced Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist, Psychologist and Counsellor based
near the City of Canterbury, Kent. Providing both Short-term and Long-term
Psychotherapy, and Counselling for adults (including couples). I also offer Clinical Supervision for
Psychotherapists, Counsellors (including Trainees and students)
and other Health Professionals. My approach to Psychotherapy is to provide
flexible, realistic and individualized therapy in a warm and
confidential setting.

(Hons) Social Psychology
- Diploma (Higher)
in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Studies
- M.Clin
Sci in Psychoanalytic
Psychotherapy (Masters in Clinical Science) completed;
currently working towards D Clin. Sci (Doctorate
in Clinical Science in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy)
- Lecturer Developmental
Psychology, University of Kent (P/T)
- RGN (Registered General Nurse)
My experience
comes from:
- Working
with people for over 25 years in the
Health Professions
- 6 years
in the NHS providing Brief
Focused or Short-term Psychotherapy and Counselling and Long-term Psychoanalytic
Psychotherapy.
- Working both Psychoanalytically, and with
a Problem Solving, Pragmatic and Supportive, Integrative
approach. NHS and Privately.
- Working
in a Private residential Drug Addiction,
Alcohol
and Eating Disorders unit
- In an
NHS Alcohol unit, and as a University
Researcher in Addictive Behaviours.
- I have
had further training in Cognitive and Behavioural
Therapy techniques
- In
addition to clinical work, I am a former lecturer in Developmental
Psychology at the University of Kent, UKC.
